Description

Soviet silent film dramatizing the 1905 mutiny of sailors on the battleship Potemkin. Its Odessa Steps sequence is one of the most studied scenes in film history and a landmark of Eisenstein’s montage technique.

İlber Ortaylı recommends it in his book Bir Ömür Nasıl Yaşanır (no. 1 of 26).
